The Save R Kids began with a simple goal: take care children in need. Save R Kids has been a labor of love for Pat Jackson and her husband, Gilbert. After a medical missions trip to South America in 1995, Pat and Gilbert fell in love with the children, the people, and the area. Ever since that first visit, they have given their time, their money, and their love to precious children in need.

At present, our efforts are focused on thirty five children living in an orphanage in Guyana, South America. Their ages range from ten months to seventeen years old. The home is located on approximately sixteen beautiful acres of lush property donated by the government of Guyana. The complex contains five buildings, a large fish pond, a small vegetable garden, and fourteen different varieties of fruit trees. Future goals for the grounds include additional buildings to house such necessities as a health clinic, and a battered- women's shelter. We hope to pave a clear path to enabling this facility to become self-sufficient while allowing the children to participate and learn. With a mother's heart and a grandmother's wisdom, Pat and the staff work every day for the well-being of the children. Daily care for the children includes the provision of food, a safe and nurturing environment, further after-school study for life preparation, and a focus on a Christian life.
