"It is such a blessing to return year after year..."
I have traveled to Georgetown,  Guyana to serve at Save R Kids four times since 2005. I have been blessed by the beautiful children at the children's home. The Campbell family takes great care of these  children. I am amazed at how well they do with the limited income that they have. They could do so much more for these children if they had more financial supporters.

With the money they receive they are able to provide the basic needs for the children, but many times their funds run short making it very hard for them to meet even the basic needs of these children. It is my prayer that through this website many people will be touched by the faces of these children and testimonies like mine, and will feel called to financially support Save R Kids. It is so encouraging to see the Campbell's love on these children just like they are their own. I am reminded of a little special needs boy at the home named Ezzie. I met Ezzie in the summer of 2007, and at that time he was three years old. He and his sister had just been placed in the home.

Ezzie was causing the Campbells a lot of problems because of his special needs, and they weren't sure they would be able to keep him in the home. He did not talk and needed constant attention, which unfortunately was very difficult for the Campbell's to provide. They did not want to separate Ezzie from his sister, so they tried very hard to keep him. After much love and a more structured environment he became a different child. It was exciting to return to the home this past summer and see that Ezzie was still there, talking and living ife without having to constantly be supervised!

I have loved getting to know many of the children and watch them grow over the years. It is such a blessing to return year after year and have the children come running to me calling me by name! I don't think anyone could visit Save R Kids without their lives being touched and changed by these precious children. God has truly blessed these children by rescuing them out of their troubled homes, and placing them in the loving care of the Campbell family at Save R Kids.

"Save R Kids is where God led me..."
My friendship and partnership with Save R Kids began in 2005 when our church sent a team of students to serve at the children's home. I was immediately impressed with Michael and Michiel Campbell and their love for the children that they are raising. As a follower of Christ, I have a responsibility to help care for the widows and orphans of the world (James 1:27).

Obviously, there are many orphans around the world that need help, so a great question is why do I choose to partner with Save R Kids? The most important reason is that Save R Kids is where God led me. God confirmed His leading me there in many ways. Michael and Michiel's desire to raise the children in a Christ centered environment resonated with me, as well as their desire to help the children become impact-having citizens of their neighborhoods and country.

A third reason is that Michael and Michiel have a vision of transforming the community where they live and the kids are growing up. They realize that if they influence their neighborhood for Christ and it become a better and safer place to live that the kids at the home will reap the benefit. I am thankful for Save R Kids and I look forward to serving with them into the foreseeable future.
